Microscopy
The headpiece, equipped with two highly protruding “additional eyes” worn by doctors during oral examinations, is a precision microscope that magnifies the image four times.
It is the smallest of our Zeiss high-quality optical instruments, which we use during surgeries and in prosthetic procedures.
In the latter case, we use it to examine incoming laboratory work down to the smallest details, while the operating microscope is ceiling-mounted in the treatment room so that the clinician can have a close and perfectly illuminated view inside the mouth—even of a single tooth—while working, as if there were no obstacles.
